SYMPTOMS
When you try to shut down your computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), your computer may intermittently stop responding.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when Windows 2000 tries to change the state of a keyboard status light (such as the NUMLOCK light or the CAPSLOCK light) at the same time that Windows is shutting down.
