SYMPTOMS
When you use the license binary image command to stamp the Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.0 binary (NK.bin) with a runtime image product key, you receive the following error message:
CAUSE
Windows CE .NET 4.0 runtime licenses that are purchased after January 1, 2004, may require this hotfix to correctly validate the product key and to complete the license binary image command.
Note This hotfix does not address problems that occur if you enter product keys that are not valid. If you receive this error after you apply this hotfix, contact Microsoft Support for more information.
