SYMPTOMS
When you try to record a television show in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, your recording may stop (freeze) before the recording has completed.
CAUSE
This issue may occur if your recordings folder is located on a compressed drive. Because Media Center receives an inaccurate report of the available free space, Media Center incorrectly detects that it is out of disk space.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, do not compress the drive that contains your recordings folder. Put your recordings folder in the path
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Recorded TV folder.
