SYMPTOMS
When many users use an ASP page to view messages that are stored in a public folder on a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, an access violation may occur on the Exchange 5.5 server. This problem occurs when the ASP page is hosted on a Web server that is running Microsoft Internet Information Services.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if a call is made from the ASP page to a Component Object Model (COM) DLL, and that COM DLL makes multi-threaded calls to the Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) rendering library (Cdohtml.dll). This problem occurs because the CDOHTML!CMimeMap component of the Cdohtml.dll rendering library does not support multi-threaded calls. Therefore, the heap corruption occurs in Internet Information Services.
