SYMPTOMS
If you remove Event and Performance Logging from an installation of Microsoft Application Center 2000, the Microsoft AC Perflog Consumer COM+ Application is not removed. However, the DLL that it references, Plogcons.dll, is removed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, manually remove the Microsoft AC Perflog Consumer COM+ application:
- Click Start, and then click Programs.
- Click Administrative Tools, and then click Component Services.
- Expand the following nodes in this order: Component Services; Computers; My Computer; COM+ Applications.
- Right-click AC Perf Log Consumer, and then click Properties.
- On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Disable Deletion check box, and then click OK.
- Right-click AC Perf Log Consumer, and then click Delete.
- When you receive the Confirm Item Delete dialog box, click Yes.
- To confirm that AC Perf Log Consumer has been removed, click Refresh on the Action menu.
