SYMPTOMS
The following error is recorded in the system log on your server:
Event ID: 4097
Description: The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 800706BA from line 42 of .\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.
When this error occurs, clients who try to connect to your server may receive a message that is similar to the following:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download and install the Microsoft Windows 2000 security update that is described in the following Knowledge Base article:
