SYMPTOMS
When you try to use the logman command on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
- The counter logs that the logman command creates do not have the schedule that is specified in the configuration file.
- You receive an error message that is related to the scheduled start time and end time of the log collection.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the short date in the Regional and Language Options Control Panel item is not configured in the Month/Day/Year (M/D/Y) format. By default, the English (United States) regional option setting uses the Month/Day/Year short date format. The regional options for other countries and languages may use a different short date format. For example, the English (Canada) regional option uses the Day/Month/Year short date format.
