SYMPTOMS
You add links to the link bar on your Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services site. The links are not present when you view the page.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the link node that you try to add your new link to is corrupted.
RESOLUTION
This problem is corrected in Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 2.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 2.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, delete the corrupted node. To identify the node that is corrupted, follow these steps:
- Open the Windows SharePoint Services site in Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003.
- Switch to Navigation view.
- Examine each node until you identify the first node that represents a link that is experiencing the symptom described in this article, and then delete the corrupted node.
Note Ignore the relationship between nodes. Continue to examine all the nodes in the top row before you move to the next row. The first node that represents a missing link is typically the corrupted node.
