SYMPTOMS

Users cannot delete attachments by using a custom Web form in Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA).

CAUSE

This problem may occur when users post an item that contains an attachment to a folder by using a program that uses MAPI. For example, this problem may occur when users post an item that contains an attachment to a folder by using Microsoft Outlook.

WORKAROUND

Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. To work around this problem, make the following change to the registry on your Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server computer:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and click the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIs\ParametersSystem\InternetContent\

  3. Right-click InternetContent, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  4. To name the new DWORD value, type EnableATagsOutbound.
  5. Double-click EnableATagsOutbound, type 2 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
