SUMMARY

This article discusses how to specify the language that you want to use when you install Connectix Virtual PC for Mac version 5.0.

MORE INFORMATION

When you use the Easy Install option in Virtual PC Setup to install Virtual PC version 5.0, Virtual PC version 5.0 will be automatically configured to use current language setting of the Mac operating system.

You can configure Virtual PC version 5.0 to use a language different from the one the Mac operating system is set to. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Insert the Virtual PC version 5.0 installation CD into your CD drive or DVD drive.
  2. Start the Virtual PC version 5.0 installation program.
  3. Click Custom Install.
  4. Click the language version that you want to install.
Install one the following Virtual PC version 5.0 language versions:
    • English
    • French
    • German
    • Italian
    • Spanish
Note You can install the Japanese version of Virtual PC version 5.0 only if you have the Japanese version of Mac OS 9 or of Mac OS X.
  5. Complete the installation of Virtual PC version 5.0.

Note The language that Virtual PC version 5.0 uses to display menus and dialog boxes does not have to be the same language that the guest operating system uses. The guest operating system can use a different language than Virtual PC version 5.0.
