The following list describes the minimum hardware and software requirements to run Virtual PC for Mac version 6.1 on Apple Mac OS X:
- 500 megahertz (MHz) or faster native G3 or G4 Macintosh computer with a CD-ROM drive.
Note Virtual PC for Mac versions 6.1 and earlier do not run on the G5 Macintosh.
Note Upgrade cards and accelerators are not supported.
- Mac OS X 10.1.5 or later.
- 256 megabytes (MB) of physical memory to run Microsoft Windows XP Professional as a guest operating system.
- 2 gigabytes (GB) of free hard disk space.
Mac OS 9
The following list describes the minimum hardware and software requirements to run Virtual PC for Mac version 6.1 on Apple Mac OS 9:
- Any native G3 or G4 Macintosh computer with a CD-ROM drive.
Note Upgrade cards and accelerators are not supported.
- Mac OS X 9.2.2.
- 192 MB of physical memory to run Microsoft Windows XP Professional as a guest operating system.
