To manually create a new virtual machine in Virtual PC for Mac version 6.1, follow these steps:
- Start Virtual PC.
- Click New.
- In theHow would you like to create your PC? list, click Create a PC manually, and then click the right-arrow button.
- In theHow would you like to set up your PC's operating system? list, click Install an operating system onto an empty PC, and then click the right-arrow button.
- On the Select an Operating System page, click the operating system that you want, and then click the right-arrow button.
- On the Select a Memory Setting page, move the slider to the memory allocation that you want, and then click the right-arrow button.
- On the Undo Drives page, click Yes or No, and then click the right-arrow button.
- On the Select a PC Name page, type a name for the virtual machine, and then click the right-arrow button. If you want to change the installation location, click Change Location.
- On the Conclusion page, click Create.
The following operating system choices are available when you create a new virtual machine:

- Windows Millennium Edition (Me)
