SYMPTOMS
When you run scripts continuously in many threads in an active script host, the application may deadlock on critical sections in the Pdm.dll file. When the application is in the deadlock state, the CPU utilization for the application that appears in Task Manager will be close to 0 percent. This problem occurs more frequently in multiprocessor computers.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that this article describes. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
