SYMPTOMS

A Windows XP-based computer may not enumerate a memory card that has no two-byte value (or "tuple") information and that has valid data at offset 0.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by a limitation in the Pcmcia.sys bus driver. The limitation causes the driver to stop enumerating these earlier types of devices.

RESOLUTION
