SYMPTOMS
When you make a change to an accepted meeting request in Outlook 2002, the change may not be saved.
For example, if you change the response of the invitee from Accepted to Tentative and then click Save and Close, when you reopen the meeting request your change to the invitee's response was not saved.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if you do one of the following:
- You open the recurring meeting request as Open this occurrence.
-or-
- You do not click Send Update after you make your change.
RESOLUTION

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do one of the following:
- After you make the change to the meeting request, click Send Update.
-or-
- When you open the meeting request to make your changes, click Open the series.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
