SYMPTOMS
When the Atapi.sys component in Microsoft Windows 2000 detects the SCSI_SENSE_RECOVERED_ERROR recovered error condition, Atapi.sys may not return an error code to an upper-level layer filter driver or to a program.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because Atapi.sys returns the success result of SRB_STATUS_SUCCESS when it detects the SCSI_SENSE_RECOVERED_ERROR error condition.
