SYMPTOMS
If you run a 64-bit version of a program that makes calls to the PSAPI library—for example EnumDeviceDrivers, GetDeviceDriverBaseNameA, and GetDeviceDriverFileNameA—the program runs as expected. However, if you run a 32-bit version of the same program that makes the same calls to the PSAPI library, the program runs much more slowly than expected, and every call that is made take several minutes to complete.
