SYMPTOMS
On a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, when you click the Run a File option to configure service recovery for a particular service, the assigned file does not run when the service fails. This problem occurs if you designate a file that has either a .bat or a .cmd extension in the File box.
Note The File box is located in the Run file section on the Recovery tab of the service's Properties dialog box.
