SYMPTOMS
When you configure your primary DNS zone on a Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3)-based system, and then you configure your BIND 8.3.4 DNS as the secondary DNS zone, zone transfers are unsuccessful.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because of a regression that was introduced in a previously released hotfix. For additional information about this hotfix, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Subsequent DNS hotfixes may also have been affected by this regression.
