SYMPTOMS
The Restricted Client property (DBPROP_MSMD_RESTRICTEDCLIENT) of the Microsoft OLE DB provider for OLAP version 8.0 (msolap80.dll) is not discoverable through the connection properties collection for an Analysis Services connection.
Although the property can be specified in a connection string by using "Restricted Client=Value
", this problem prevents you from setting or altering the property after a connection has been established.
RESOLUTION
Service pack information

Hotfix information

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4.
