SYMPTOMS
When you are running Microsoft Windows 2000 and remove a removable disk drive while Performance Monitor is running, the Physical Disk counter may not appear in the counter list when you click Add Counter.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, stop Performance Monitor, remove the removable disk drive, and then start Performance Monitor.
