SYMPTOMS

When you send a message that has attachments to a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) recipient who uses Microsoft Outlook 2001 for Macintosh, a Symantec Antivirus for SMTP Gateways that receives this message might not deliver it. This problem occurs when Exchange Server 5.5 Internet Mail Service sends a MIME message with boundaries that are not unique.

Prerequisites

Your computer must have Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 4 to install this hotfix.

Restart Requirement

You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix, but you must stop and then restart the information store service.

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
