  • Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 Service Pack 1

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Create Packages for DB2 utility (Crtpkg.exe) to create packages on an IBM DB2 Universal Database Version 8 for Windows, you may receive the following error message:

Errors occurred when granting privilege on MSCS001. RETCODE=-1. SQL Error: Code=-901, State=58004, Error Text=A SQL error has occurred. Please consult the documentation for your specific DB2 version for a description of the associated Native Error and SQL State. SQLSTATE: 58004, SQLCODE: -901 1 errors reported.

Four packages are created. The error is reported for each package that is created.

When you create the packages implicitly by connecting to the DB2 database for the first time through the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 (DB2OLEDB), or the Microsoft ODBC Driver for DB2 (both are included with the Microsoft Host integration Server), and you execute a statement, you may receive the following error message:

A SQL error has occurred. Please consult the documentation for your specific DB2 version for a description of the associated Native Error and SQL State. SQLSTATE: 51002, SQLCODE: -805

CAUSE

The statement that is issued to create the packages is not valid.
