SYMPTOMS
When you add a phone number to a contact in Outlook 2002, the City/Area code is added to the Local number in the Check Phone Number dialog box and the City/Area code box is blank.
Note To view the Check Phone Number dialog box, open your contact in Outlook, and then click one of the Phone number buttons (for example, click Business).
CAUSE
This problem may occur if both the following conditions are true:
- You configure the Country/Region code in your Outlook Contact to Austria.
-and-
- You configure the Dialing Rules in Microsoft Windows XP for Austria.
Note To view Dialing Rules in Windows XP, click Start, click Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Phone and Modem Options.
