SYMPTOMS

When you switch to the Timesheet view in Microsoft Project Web Access, and you view the current period date range in Project Manager, the date range that appears is for the wrong period.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you click Update link, and then update the data for all the task updates.

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

This problem is corrected in Project Server 2002 Service Pack 1.

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. SQL Stored Procedure Update Necessary to Install all Microsoft Project Server Patches

To make sure that your Microsoft Project server has all of the fixes contained in this patch applied correctly, follow these steps:

  1. Run the SQL Query Analyzer.
  2. In the Database box, click your Microsoft Project Server database.
  3. On the File menu, click Open.
  4. Locate the Websps.sql file that is located in the following folder:

    drive letter:\Program Files\Microsoft Project Server\ Scripts.SQL

  5. On the Query menu, click Execute.
  6. When the query has completed, close the Query Analyzer


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Project Server 2002 Service Pack 1.
