SYMPTOMS

In the Spanish-language version of SharePoint Portal Server 2001, documents that you check in to the Document Library may display an incorrect status.

For example, when you check in a document, the status of the document in the Document Library is incorrectly displayed as Desprotegido (Checked out), instead of Protegido (Checked in).

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you access the SharePoint Portal Server 2001 workspace by using a Web browser. Documents that you check in display an incorrect status of Desprotegido (Checked out) on the Document Library page, although the documents are actually checked in.

This problem does not occur when you access the SharePoint Portal Server 2001 workspace by using Web folders. To install the hotfix, the user installing the hotfix must be the coordinator of the workspace.

RESOLUTION

This problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you have installed SharePoint Portal Server 2001 Service Pack 3 or a later service pack, you do not have to apply the hotfix.

Service pack information

This problem was first corrected in SharePoint Portal Server 2001 Service Pack 3.
