SYMPTOMS

When you use a store event sink to modify the stream of incoming messages in Exchange 2000, attachments may be missing when you open and view the message in Microsoft Outlook or in Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA).

When you view the message in Microsoft Outlook Express or by using Collaboration Data Objects (CDO), you can open and view the attachments in the message.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because messages are incorrectly processed when you use a store event sink to modify the stream of messages in Exchange 2000.
