SYMPTOMS

The store process may end silently without generating a User.dmp file or a Drwtsn32.log file. When the store process restarts and a database is mounted, the store process may end silently again.

If you attach a debugger to the store process, you receive the following information when a first chance C0000005 exception occurs :

Access violation - code c0000005 (first chance)
First chance exceptions are reported before any exception handling.
This exception may be expected and handled.
