SYMPTOMS
Under certain circumstances, you may want to create a temporary master project based on other projects that have a similar value for the Enterprise Outline Code. However, when you try to select multiple projects with which to create the temporary master project, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
CAUSE
It has not been possible to select multiple projects in Microsoft Project because the Open from Project Server dialog box does not permit you to view multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Web Access (PWA) Project Center does support grouping but it does not permit the multiple selection of projects.
This functionality is now available in Microsoft Project 2002 after you install the hotfix described in the "Resolution" section of this article.
