SYMPTOMS

You notice slow performance when you use Active Directory authentication.

CAUSE

Instead of reusing the cached table, the computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server performs full group enumeration at each logon. This causes heavy traffic on the computer that is running SQL Server.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information
