SYMPTOMS

When you crawl documents on a computer that is running SharePoint Portal Server 2001, and then you click one of the results, you may receive the following error message:

The page cannot be found

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the URL for the result contains encoded characters.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001.
