SUMMARY

Templates are used by Works for Windows version 2.0 to form a boilerplate file that will be called each time a new file is opened.

MORE INFORMATION

To activate a specific file as a template, do the following:

  1. Open or create the file you wish to use as the template.
  2. From the File menu, choose Save As.
  3. In the Save File as Type box, select WP Template (in the Word Processor), DB Template (in the Database), or SS Template (in the Spreadsheet.
  4. Choose OK or press ENTER.

Only one template may be selected for each tool. If a new file is designed and saved as a template, it will overwrite any previously created templates for that tool.

To deactivate any template file, do the following:

  1. From the Options menu, choose Works Settings.
  2. Under "Use Templates for," cancel the selection for the appropriate box.
