SUMMARY
Templates are used by Works for Windows version 2.0 to form a boilerplate file that will be called each time a new file is opened.
MORE INFORMATION
To activate a specific file as a template, do the following:
- Open or create the file you wish to use as the template.
- From the File menu, choose Save As.
- In the Save File as Type box, select WP Template (in the Word Processor), DB Template (in the Database), or SS Template (in the Spreadsheet.
- Choose OK or press ENTER.
Only one template may be selected for each tool. If a new file is designed and saved as a template, it will overwrite any previously created templates for that tool.
To deactivate any template file, do the following:
- From the Options menu, choose Works Settings.
- Under "Use Templates for," cancel the selection for the appropriate box.
