Selecting Individual Objects from the Keyboard



The information in this article applies to:


  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 3.0, 4.0, 5.0
  • Microsoft Excel for OS/2 version 3.0





SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, you can select all the objects on a worksheet with the keyboard by choosing Select Special from the formula menu and selecting the Objects option. To select individual objects with the keyboard, select all the objects, and then use the TAB key to select the objects one at a time.



MORE INFORMATION

If you are using Microsoft Excel version 5.0, the following steps must be taken to select all objects from the keyboard:


  1. From the Edit menu choose Goto.
  2. In the Goto dialog box, select the special button.
  3. Select Objects in the Special dialog box.

Note that you cannot individually select an object with a macro assigned to it by using this method.
