Summary:
The Harvard Graphics Translator allows you to select from three different options that can influence the translation of your files. The three options and their purposes are outlined below.
Page Size
When translating files from Harvard Graphics, your translated presentation will take on the same page size and orientation for which your PowerPoint default presentation is configured. If you want your translated file to retain different page size and orientation attributes, select the Page Size option, and specify your settings.
Overhead Colors
When printing a presentation from Harvard Graphics, Harvard Graphics will automatically convert the colors of your presentation to a monochrome scheme if you are printing to a monochrome printer. PowerPoint, on the other hand, is a WYSIWYG product, and therefore if you have a full color presentation it will try to replicate the color on the printout even if you print to a monochrome printer. With full-color presentations, this may give you “muddy” output. If you plan to print to a black and white printer, you can choose the Overhead Colors option, which will convert the presentation to black and white ahead of time.
Omit Chart Border
If you plan to convert Harvard Graphics charts for use in PowerPoint, you may not want Harvard Graphics chart borders included because they could conflict with borders and other objects you have already set up on your PowerPoint slide. To ensure that these borders are not carried over in the translation, select the Omit Chart Border option.
