SUMMARY

The following information outlines the steps for exporting a Tagged Image Format file (TIFF) from Micrografx Designer version 3.01 for use with Microsoft Word version 5.0 or 5.5. Although likely similar, these steps may vary from earlier versions of Micrografx Designer.

Steps to Export

  1. Select the symbols to be included in the exported file, or select no symbols to export the entire drawing.
  2. From the File menu, choose Export.
  3. Enter a name for the file with no extension.
  4. Highlight the TIF Tag Image File Format export option, choose the Export command, and press ENTER. Designer automatically adds a file extension depending on the output format chosen (TIF is the extension assigned in this case).
  5. In the TIFF Output Configuration Dialog box that appears, choose one of the TIFF monochrome or gray scale formats. Color TIFF images are not currently supported by Word version 5.0 or 5.5. Choose not to compress the output file. Select either Screen or Printer as the output device. Press ENTER to write the TIFF file.

MORE INFORMATION

Word supports TIFF-B black-and-white compressed and uncompressed files and TIFF-G gray scale uncompressed files.
