The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0

SUMMARY

Microsoft Project for Windows can automatically display approximately one-half of the Gantt screen area as task information. Project determines the number of fields to display based on the current font, the screen resolution, and whether or not Project is maximized.

MORE INFORMATION

Consider the following:

  • Standard 640 x 480 VGA resolution
  • Helvetica 8-point font
  • Project is maximized

With the above parameters, the largest width for a table field or combination of table fields would be 102. Therefore, the width of the field(s) could be about 51 or about one-half of the Gantt screen.
