PRDLM9103010: Wrong Driver Is Installed If NE3200.NIF Is Used ID Number: Q70885

2.00b MS-DOS buglist2.00b

Summary:

PROBLEM ID: DLM9103010

SYMPTOMS The wrong driver, NE3200.OS2, is installed by CONFIG.SYS if you use the NE3200.NIF file on the DOS Drivers2 disk.

CAUSE This problem occurs because “DeviceDriver = NE3200.OS2” is included in NE3200.NIF, instead of “DeviceDriver = NE3200.DOS”.

STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in DOS LAN Manager version 2.00b. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
