SYMPTOMS SQL returns the following invalid filename error when using the DISKINIT command:
OS/2 System Error 206: Not a valid filename
CAUSE This error occurs if the filename is not in the standard 8.3 format. When using DISKINIT, the physical name (physname) of a file must be in the standard 8.3 format, even on an HPFS partition.
RESOLUTION Use the standard FAT 8.3 format for the physical name of the device.
