SYMPTOMS The SYMDEB debugger reports a fatal exit 409 when trying to debug a Windows program.
CAUSE The SYMDEB debugger is limited to a 64K symbol file.
STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a limitation in the Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) version 3.0. This problem does not apply to Windows 3.1 because SYMDEB is used only for real mode debugging and real mode is not supported by Windows 3.1.
