SUMMARY
When the Window Background is set to A or I under View Preferences Colors in Microsoft Word version 5.50, the menu and the status bar will disappear in Print Preview on the COMPAQ Portable computer. The Print Preview appears all in one color (green) regardless of the color set for the Desktop Background. The Print Preview menu is visible only when the ALT key is pressed.
To see the menu and the status bar in Print Preview, set the Window Background to a color other than A or I.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 5.50. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
