Word 4.00: Incorrect Superscripts, Subscripts in PostScript

SUMMARY
When using Microsoft Word version 4.00 with a postscript printer, and a document that contains superscript characters interspersed in a line of text formatted for a different font size (for example, 8 point superscripts in 12 point text), the first superscript character in the line will print slightly higher than the following superscript characters.
Likewise, the first subscript character will print lower than following subscripts if the subscript characters are formatted for a different size.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word version 4.00. This problem was corrected in Word version 5.00.
