SUMMARY

There is no “change case” feature in Microsoft Works similar to the change case feature in Microsoft Word. Characters entered in one case will remain that way.

MORE INFORMATION

A possible workaround is to use the Replace command to search for each letter of the alphabet and replace it with the upper- or lowercase version with the “Match upper/lowercase” option.

You can automate this workaround with a macro containing the following steps:

  1. Place the cursor at the beginning of the document.
  2. From the Select menu, choose Replace.
  3. In the “Search for:” text box, type the letter you want to change. In the “Replace with:” text box, type the letter with the correct case.
  4. Press ALT+U to select the “Match upper/lowercase” check box.
  5. Press ALT+A to choose the “Replace All” command button.

A dialog box displaying the number of occurrences replaced will appear.
