Summary:
If you attempt to save a Microsoft Multiplan worksheet with a password in Symbolic or Chart format, the error message “Not a Valid Option” will be displayed. This is by program design.
More Information:
You can only save worksheets with a password in the following formats:
- Normal
- Excel
- Other
If you want to save a worksheet with a password, you will have to change the Transfer Save “protected:” field to Yes because it resets to the default mode (unprotected save) each time you save a worksheet. It is designed this way because it is assumed that most people will only occasionally save work with a password.
