Exponential Numbers Lost when Saved in “Other” Format PSS ID Number: Q70001 Article last modified on 03-11-1991 PSS database name: D_MPlan

4.00 4.01 4.20

MS-DOS

Summary:

When saving a Microsoft Multiplan file in Lotus format (by setting Transfer Option to Other), cells that are formatted as exponential numbers will return to the default format (general). This is by program design.

This return to default is because Lotus does not recognize exponential number formats.
