Summary:

Rotated text in Excel is printed using one of the vector/stroke fonts (that is, Modern, Roman, or Script). This applies to all printers.

The text might appear lighter than you want it to. To make the text darker, you can either format the text bold, or format the text with a Roman font. The Roman font is darker than the Modern font.
