SUMMARY

The Name Indentation feature is disabled when the Name field is the first field in a table and the first field is locked.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Open any .MPP file
  2. From the Format menu, choose Outline.
  3. Select Name Indentation as an option.
  4. Choose OK.
  5. From the Table menu, choose Define Tables.
  6. Select New and give the table a name.
  7. Define the new table so that at least two fields are included with the Name field being the first field.
  8. Select Lock First Column.
  9. Choose OK.
  10. Select Set.
  11. From the View menu, choose Gantt Chart.
  12. Select Table and select the new table from the list.

The table will be displayed aligned to the left. If you would like to make a table that has the Name field in the first column, then the Lock First Column option should be canceled.
