SUMMARY

When setting a decimal tab in Microsoft Word versions 5.00 and 5.50, the first line of a paragraph will extend into the right margin if you press SPACEBAR immediately after a decimal point. This does not occur with any other keystrokes (for example, TAB).

If You Type The Result Will Be ———– ——————

1.1 The first line of paragraph text will wrap correctly.

1.(SPACEBAR) The first line of paragraph text will extend into the right margin.

1.(TAB) The first line of paragraph text will wrap correctly.
