Summary:

Word for Word Professional is a document conversion program, developed and supported by Mastersoft Corporation, that includes support for Microsoft Word for MS-DOS through version 5.5 as well as various other Microsoft word processing formats. This support is provided via a stand-alone shell conversion program that calls upon individual MS-DOS (.EXE) modules for each particular conversion as requested.

Batch file conversion allows you to tag multiple files from different directories, or allows you to use MS-DOS wildcards or command line operation to convert up to 1000 files in a single session.

Word for Word also provides auto-file recognition, and allows you to capture non convertible features as embedded codes in the converted document to assist in reconstruction post-conversion.

The current version of Word for Word Professional as of July 1, 1992 is version 5.1.

Word for Word Professional provides conversion with formatting intact between the following word processing, database, and data file formats:
