Replace Text with ^W Inserts W Instead of White Space PSS ID Number: Q67241 Article last modified on 12-11-1990 PSS database name: W_Os2Word

1.10

OS/2

Summary:

The ^W replacement field in Microsoft Word for OS/2 will match any number of tabs and spaces for a replacement. However, ^W can only be used in the Search For field because there is no way to know what quantity of spaces or tabs should be inserted. Spaces can be used directly in the Replace With field and tabs can be represented with ^T. These alternatives should be used instead of ^W in this location.
