SUMMARY
DASDDRVR.SYS is a device driver that corrects problems that occur when reading and writing 720K 3.5-inch disks on IBM PS/2 machines running under PC-DOS 3.3. The problem affects the IBM PS/2 Model 50 (BIOS date 02/13/87), Model 60 (BIOS date 02/13/87), and Model 80 (BIOS date 03/30/87).
A common error that may occur in the absence of this driver is “Not Ready Error Reading Drive X.”
This driver is normally included on the PS/2 Reference Disk. You can also obtain the driver from any authorized IBM dealer.
Use the following procedure to install the driver:
Copy the driver to the root directory of your hard drive.
Add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS file:
device=c:.sys
Reboot your computer.
